Plant growth regulator effects on red fescue seed crops in diverse production environmentsSurendra Bhattarai, Nityananda Khanal, Nicole P. Anderson, Calvin L. Yoder
Creeping red fescue turf is tolerant of shade, low fertility acidic soils, and drought conditions, creeping red fescue seed crops grown in optimal growing environments can lodge, ultimately reducing yield in regions where this important turfgrass is grown for seed.

An insight into sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.)
Over the last decade, there has been a renewed interest in sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.), particularly among western Canadian forage and beef-cattle producers. A major trigger has been the availability of new sainfoin cultivars with improved compatibility with alfalfa (Medicago sativa).
