Megan Allard grew up on a small grain and cow/calf farm south of Oyen, Alberta. Prior to moving to St.
Isidore in 2018, Megan received her 2-year diploma in Agricultural Studies – majoring in Production
from Olds College. During college Megan spent her summers working as a field technician at Chinook
Applied Research Association (CARA) in Oyen, Alberta. The summer after receiving her agriculture
diploma, Megan worked for Nutrien Ag Solutions as a crop scout in Ryley, Alberta.

After moving to the Peace Region Megan worked briefly as a Sales Agronomist for St. Isidore Co-op
Agro Center. And has now been the Research Coordinator at SARDA Ag Research since February 2019.
Throughout the past few years at SARDA Megan has worked with pesticide and plant growth regulator
projects, multiple agronomic practice trials and demonstrations, on multiple types of cultivars known to
the Peace Region as well as specialty crops. Megan is looking forward to continuing to expand her
knowledge in intercropping and the industrial hemp industry. Megan also enjoys working with herbicide
application trials/demonstrations on various crop types.

During her spare time Megan enjoys crocheting, gardening, snowmobiling in the winter months with her
husband Hayden, and raising chickens in the spring with the help of her daughter Wren.
